Age-Specific Curriculum: Our engineering and robotics summer camp is designed to cater to two age groups: 5-8 years and 9-14 years. Through age-appropriate lessons and hands-on projects, campers will gain a deeper understanding of engineering and robotics concepts while fostering their creativity and problem-solving skills.

Engineering Projects: The focus is on introducing fundamental engineering concepts. Campers will dive into the world of forces, gravity, and structures using materials such as popsicle sticks, cardboard, and glue guns. Through engaging projects like building a popsicle stick bridge, a wooden walking robot, a mechanical hand, a catapult, and a robotic sweeper, young engineers will develop their spatial awareness, fine motor skills, and critical thinking abilities.

Robotics Projects: We will take engineering skills to the next level by incorporating robotics technology. They will explore the LEGO WeDo sets, enabling them to create robotic movements and understand the principles of robotics. Combining engineering concepts with robotics, campers will engage in projects that challenge their creativity and problem-solving abilities, fostering a deeper appreciation for STEM disciplines.

Daily Schedule: Our engineering and robotics summer camp provides an exciting and well-rounded daily schedule, ensuring campers have a memorable and enriching experience. Here’s an overview of a typical day at camp:

9:00 AM – Camp Begins: Campers kickstart their day with icebreaker games, fostering new friendships and creating a vibrant community of young coders.

9:30 AM – Engineering and Robotics Classes: Campers dive into their age-appropriate engineering and robotics classes. With expert guidance from our instructors, they will explore engineering concepts, use different materials, and embrace robotics technology. Through hands-on projects and experiments, they will develop critical thinking skills and gain a deeper understanding of STEM principles.

12:00 PM – Break and Lunch: After an engaging morning session, campers take a break to recharge and enjoy a nutritious lunch. This is also an opportunity for campers to connect with their peers, share experiences, and build lasting friendships.

12:30 PM – Outdoor Adventures: Weather permitting, we head to the nearby Sunnyside Park, where campers participate in a range of exhilarating outdoor activities. From laser gun tag and sticky ball tag to ball relays and hands and feet relay races, the fun knows no bounds. In case of inclement weather, we have exciting indoor activities planned, including mystery detective games, board games, and hands-on creations with 3D pens.

2:00 PM – STEM Arts and Crafts: Campers unleash their creativity as they engage in stimulating STEM arts and crafts projects. From painting vibrant kites to constructing DIY ukuleles and creating robotic sweepers, wooden crossbows, guns, fighter planes, and mosaic coasters, campers explore the intersection of art and technology, fostering a multidisciplinary approach to learning.

3:30 PM – Camp Conclusion: Parents arrive to pick up their children, bringing an end to another exciting day of engineering and robotics adventures.

Extended Hours Option: For families in need of extended care, we offer extended hours until 5:30 PM. During this time, campers continue their exploration of creativity and camaraderie through engaging activities such as board games, charades, Pictionary, diamond painting, water beads, and LEGO building. Our dedicated staff ensures a safe and enjoyable environment for campers during the extended hours.
